Reception Chinese Style
Our reception lineup is now done! We went to Toronto to have our Chinese reception. It was wonderful! Meg became the new member of the Yu or "Yee" family. There were about a hundred people there and only about 10 white people...heh heh...Our Chinese relatives were so impressed with Meg and her Chinese. They really got a kick out of her speaking to them in Chinese. The food was so good! It was so good to see everyone who came! Thank you for coming! My great uncle gave us a great speech for us emphasizing the family unit as the fundamental unit of culture and development. Universal principles but the Chinese just have a way of saying it... :) So now we are relaxing and our honeymoon can start. We shall be back in Alberta soon and life will begin normally...More updates soon!

Welcome to the Yu family!!!
Yay!! We were sealed for time and all eternity in the Cardston Temple at 12:00 p.m. on Friday July 7th 2006. We watched the weather network closely for the last month and saw the thuderstorms and thundershower warnings take up the week. Even Thursday night threatened to have thunderstorms; there was hail in Calgary. But, Meaghann wasn't worried. She fasted for good weather and had perfect faith that the Lord would make it a good day. And He sure did! I feel so lucky to be married to this girl. She has so much faith. The temple experience was amazing! Meaghann told me when I got there that her veil flew out of the car. They didn't notice until they got to the temple that it was missing. It was a windy day but again, Meg's faith...undaunted. Meg's family saw it and brought it to the temple. Brother Pitcher was our sealer. Meg used to babysit his grandchildren so it was special to have him seal us. The blessing was wonderful and now we are happily married!!!! The photos went very well. Thank you Ryan Michelsen for being our photographer! There was one time during the shoot when Meg's veil flew off her head and landed perfectly on my head. I thought Meg put it on me. We had to laugh at that! The reception was wonderful!!!! Thank you so much for coming. Meg and I had a wonderful time talking to you. Meg and I changed into our Chinese outfits later to cut the cake. We had a Chinese groom and white bride. The bride was kind of pushing the groom over. That's not indicative of our relationship..lol...Meg tossed the bouquet...the first time, she just dropped it...the second time, Meagan caught it. The garter went to Aaron Nielsen. The Karaoke party was a hit! And so now we are married and more adventures to come!!!
